A perfect 15/15/15 appraisal is not automatically rank one for a capped Pokémon GO league. Because Attack contributes strongly to CP, a lower Attack IV can sometimes let a species reach a higher level below 1,500 or 2,500 CP and gain more combined bulk.

PvP IV rank compares one species and league across all 4,096 IV spreads. It does not compare movesets, typings, matchups or species viability, so rank should inform a build rather than replace battle analysis.

How the league-cap search works

For each IV spread, the calculator checks half-level increments and keeps the highest level whose CP does not exceed the selected cap. It then calculates effective Attack, Defense and Stamina at that level.

The three effective stats are multiplied to form stat product. Every spread is sorted against the best eligible product for that species, form and league.

Read rank and percentage together

Rank 1 identifies the largest modeled stat product, while the percentage shows how close the entered spread is to that benchmark. A rank farther down the list can still retain nearly all of the top product.

Small product differences should be weighed against breakpoints, charged-move priority, resource cost and the level the Pokémon can actually reach.

Avoid comparing the wrong form

Regional forms, costumes, Shadows, Megas and species with different base stats cannot be merged casually. Confirm the exact selectable form before reading the result.
