How This OSRS Mining Calculator Works01+
The planner subtracts current XP from the target threshold. It divides by 35 for iron, 50 for coal, 80 for mithril, or 240 for amethyst, then rounds the extraction count upward.
Time uses completed extractions rather than attempts. A failed mining cycle awards no listed ore XP and should reduce the observed success rate.

At 48,000 XP remaining, amethyst gives 240 XP per successful extraction, producing exactly 200 amethyst. Iron at 35 XP would require ceiling(48,000 ÷ 35) = 1,372 rocks.
