1 Candy earned from the reviewed catch-distance band
Pokémon GO Help Center — Trading Pokémon · reviewed 2026-09-05. No guaranteed Candy XL from distance alone. Event bonuses and account-specific restrictions can override the standard table, so confirm the in-game confirmation screen before accepting.
What the Pokémon GO Trade Calculator calculates
The Pokémon GO Trade Calculator models actual trade resources instead of assigning fictional market prices to Pokémon. It combines friendship level, whether the species/form is registered, Legendary or Shiny special status, and catch distance.
The output is an estimate to compare with the confirmation screen. Special Trade availability, daily limits, age, distance between players, temporary bonuses, and Mythical restrictions can still prevent or change a trade.
Use the Trade Calculator
- 1
Select the current friendship tier shared by both Trainers.
- 2
Classify the received Pokémon by registration and special status.
- 3
Enter the distance between the Pokémon’s catch locations, then verify the in-game prompt.

How This Pokémon GO Trade Calculator Works01+
The standard table has four classes: registered standard, registered special, unregistered standard, and unregistered special. Friendship discounts are applied to the appropriate class, not as one blanket percentage.
Catch distance selects one of three Candy bands: under 10 km, 10–99.999 km, or at least 100 km. The page separately labels the reviewed 100 km Candy XL condition and never converts a Pokémon into a trade value.
Worked Example for the Pokémon GO Trade Calculator02+
An unregistered Legendary or Shiny trade between Best Friends maps to the special-unregistered row and returns 40,000 Stardust. If the two catch locations are 120 km apart, the distance band returns three Candy and indicates that the distance condition for guaranteed Candy XL is met.
How to Use the Pokémon GO Trade Calculator Result03+
Use Stardust as a preparation number, then read the restrictions note. A lower friendship tier can change a special trade by hundreds of thousands of Stardust, while distance affects Candy rather than the Stardust row.
Pokémon GO Trade Calculator Accuracy and Limitations04+
Event bonuses may discount Stardust or change Candy outcomes. The calculator cannot see Pokédex registration, player location, remaining daily Special Trades, Pokémon age, previous trades, or account eligibility.
Pokémon GO trade distance bands

|---|---|---|
| Under 10 km | 1 | Not guaranteed by distance |
| 10–99.999 km | 2 | Not guaranteed by distance |
| 100 km or more | 3 | Reviewed distance condition met |

Pokémon GO calculator FAQs
Clear answers about calculations, data, independence, privacy and practical use.
What makes a Pokémon GO trade a Special Trade?
Legendary, Shiny, and certain unregistered or special categories use Special Trade rules; availability must still be confirmed in game.
How does Pokémon GO friendship affect Stardust cost?
The calculator selects the cost at Good, Great, Ultra, or Best Friend level within the relevant registration and special-status row.
Does Pokémon GO catch distance reduce Stardust?

No. Temporary bonuses and account restrictions can change the live prompt, which is authoritative for the attempted trade.
