What the OSRS Woodcutting Calculator calculates
The OSRS Woodcutting Calculator converts a level target into successful logs for specific tree types. Oak, willow, teak, and yew rows retain their own XP and requirement so a yew count is never produced from an oak assumption.
Throughput means successful logs per hour, not clicks. Axe tier, invisible boosts, Forestry events, depletion, movement, competition, banking, and tick manipulation can all move the time estimate.
Use the Woodcutting Calculator
- 1
Enter exact Woodcutting total XP and the desired level.
- 2
Select a tree your current level can cut.
- 3
Replace logs per hour with a measured rate from the chosen location.
A result you can audit
Each section documents the calculation and the limits that apply to this specific gameplay problem.
How This OSRS Woodcutting Calculator Works01+
Target XP comes from the OSRS curve. Logs required are ceiling(XP remaining ÷ XP per successful log). Hours divide that integer count by successful logs per hour.
The calculation counts Woodcutting XP actions only; Forestry event rewards or experience from another action must be represented through a changed effective XP rate.
Worked Example for the OSRS Woodcutting Calculator02+
Willow logs award 67.5 Woodcutting XP. If 100,000 XP remains, the tool calculates ceiling(100,000 ÷ 67.5) = 1,482 successful logs before applying the chosen hourly rate.
How to Use the OSRS Woodcutting Calculator Result03+
Use action count for the tree choice and time for route comparison. If keeping logs, also consider banking distance; a drop method and a banking method can share XP per log but have very different throughput.
OSRS Woodcutting Calculator Accuracy and Limitations04+
Bird nests, Forestry events, infernal axe effects, multi-player tree timers, crystal charges, and log value are not predicted. Defaults are reviewed baselines, not tick-perfect guarantees.
Reviewed Woodcutting actions
Per-log XP is stable; logs/hour is editable.
| Tree | Level | XP/log |
|---|---|---|
| Oak | 15 | 37.5 |
| Willow | 30 | 67.5 |
| Teak | 35 | 85 |
| Yew | 60 | 175 |

OSRS calculator FAQs
Clear answers about calculations, data, independence, privacy and practical use.
How are OSRS logs to level rounded?
The calculator rounds upward to the next successful log because a fraction cannot complete the remaining XP.
Does the OSRS Woodcutting estimate include Forestry events?
No. Add their observed contribution through an adjusted XP or throughput assumption.
Why are OSRS teak and yew hours so different?
XP per log, cut success, tree availability, movement, and banking combine to create different successful-log rates.
Can the OSRS tree requirement block an invalid method?
The row displays its level requirement; the player must still confirm boosts and access conditions in game.
