Players often call Palworld’s hidden stat quality IVs, while the current game terminology is Potential. HP, Attack and Defense Potential are separate values, so one strong displayed stat does not prove that all three are high.

Displayed stats are rounded after species scaling, level and bonuses are applied. Reverse calculation can therefore return several Potential values that fit the same number, especially at low levels where adjacent values create only a small difference.

Separate species growth from Potential

Every Pal species starts from its own stat scaling. The forward calculator combines that species record with level and the chosen HP, Attack and Defense Potential values before applying relevant modifiers.

Comparing raw displayed numbers across different species can be misleading. Use the same species and level when judging what Potential changes.

Account for every visible modifier

Passive bonuses, Pal Souls and Condensation can alter the observed result. Leaving one active modifier out forces the reverse solver to explain the extra stat as Potential and can shift the returned range upward.

Read a Potential range honestly

When several integer Potential values round to the same displayed stat, every value in the returned interval is plausible. The tool should not manufacture a single precise answer.

Retest after leveling the Pal or use the in-game Ability Glasses when available. A wider low-level range is a limitation of the displayed information, not a calculation failure.
